This week I compared two blogs, www.edublogs.org and www.21classes.com . The first was a non-profit organization, which gave you the ability to review other classroom blogs. The teachers used the blog as an information portal for their students. They had lessons there, interesting links and a discussion area for her students. The other site, was a company that did not allow you access unless you registered for the site and it had very limited capabilities unless you add capabilities on for a fee.
So far I have learned that a blog is a good place to share information and comments amongst the class. But, that I must find ways in order to keep students engaged. I have also received feedback from my peers on ways to keep students engaged. The only problem I have had is being able to review blogs of teachers that I know. Is there anyone in this class that has an on-going blog I can review and would gladly talk with me about your experiences.
My GAME plan seems to be on-target for completion for the new school year.
Jodie,
ReplyDeleteI did a google search of class room blogs and actually found a few to visit. Below is the address to a classroom blog that I found interesting. The teacher set up links to individual student pages where students have posted work.

Hope it helps! I was able to gain a few ideas.
